A businessman and entrepreneur with more than 25 years' experience in the fields of consultancy and representation of multinationals, private equity, shipping, logistics, food & beverage, and real estate, Sebastien Clamorgan is the founder and owner of Venia International.
Born in 1971 in Paris, he studied at Beau-Soleil College (Switzerland), and obtained a French Baccalaureate with an emphasis in Economics. After one year at Assas (French University, emphasis in Law), he attended the European Business School in Paris from where he held a Master degree in International Business in 1997. In 2000, he obtained the Series 7 - NASD (National Association of Securities Dealers) brokerage license.
His professional career began in 1994, when he started working in an Advertising company in Paris. After this experience, in 1995 he joined a cosmetics firm in Milan, where he oversaw managing successful marketing and sales strategies.
His professional career continued in the field of import/export: in 1995, indeed, he served as Commercial attaché & Negotiator, responsible in finding new products to import, as well as new distributors in France and abroad. Between 1997 and 1999, in search for new horizons, he decided to work, as a partner, with a commodity trading company based in Asia where he served as spot trader, as well as broker/agent acting on behalf of oil companies among others.
During his professional experience as a commodity trader, he was instrumental in the turnover rise and the development of business contacts and supply sources in Africa, Asia and the Middle-East. The roles Sebastien Clamorgan held grew in importance over time, leading him to hold positions of increasing responsibility: between 1999 and 2001, indeed, he was appointed Vice-President & Asset Manager at the Private Banking department of Merrill Lynch International Inc. in Geneva, where he was in charge of prospecting and managing assets with additional extent in Asia and Mena region.
After some years within this financial sector, and as of 2006, Mr. Sebastien Clamorgan decided to undertake new professional challenges in private equity deals leading to the establishment of Venia International.
